The Affiliate Datafeed Profit System…

by Glenn Antoine on March 26, 2009

If you spend any time around me you will soon learn that I like to think outside the box when it comes to generating alternate streams of income. Additionally, you would also know that I am always looking for ways to automate our work. Personally, I like to work smarter not harder. Being that it is an endless quest when you’re in the social media world I was searching around the internet for a plug in that would automate a “niche” blog site that I have.  After much searching I found it. The Affiliate Datafeed Profit System.

First a little background information.

Many people are stuck in the belief that the only things that they should sell as an affiliate are affiliate products which pay 50% or higher commissions.  According to Reuters, in 2006, 106 MILLION digital cameras were sold. With an average sale price of $1000 and an affiliate commission of just 10%, you would earn $100 on each camera. The really smart affiliates sell products to the masses while earning smaller commissions on larger numbers of sales.

Think about things you’ve bought online yourself over the last year. Have you bought something on EBay? Did you buy Christmas presents for your kids, family, or friends online? Can you imagine the millions of other people who are buying their toys online: that where the real money is made in affiliate marketing.

Want to know a niche marketing secret that most Gurus won’t tell you? When you offer tangible products for sale like this already mentioned above, you end up getting fast, detailed niche market information and then you are able to target specific long tail keyword phrases that usually rank very high in major search engines.

If you like the sound of this you can tap into these lucrative markets the hard way by signing up with one or more major affiliate networks such as “Share A Sale” or Commission Junction. Then you will need to sign up for specific merchants, then begin browsing through (or try to search through) their product lists. After you have found a product to fit your niche, that’s priced high enough for your liking, or whatever, then cut and paste that affiliate link code, then manually insert it into a page or blog post on your website.

The fun part is that you will need to repeat that manual process for however many products you want to have on your site. Want 100 targeted and lucrative niche products? Then search, cut, and paste 100 times. Want 10,000 products? Then search, cut, and paste 10,000 times. You get the idea.

Now the important part is that now you will need to start promoting your site so the search engines know you have all this keyword rich content on it now though. The good news is that there is a better way.

Thanks for today’s post, seriously, can you become a topic contributor for wikipedia because the current pages hosted there for our hobby is next to useless. I don’t quite agree completely with it but I agree with it on the most part and I definitely applaud your effort in putting it so clearly.
