For years I knew that networking, more specifically business networking was a much better way to do business, but at best I was inconsistent in leveraging my network of contacts. Sure if you have been in business for any length of time you know that networking is all about leveraging your business and personal connections to bring you a regular supply of new business.

This is no secret, we hear all the time that word-of-mouth marketing is the best marketing because it comes with credibility, creates customers that stick with you and costs you little to nothing. Any time I tell someone that they scratch their head and get that serious contemplative look and there is no mystery to what they are thinking: “How do I generate word-of-mouth buzz for my business?”

Word-of-mouth marketing can be generated, and very effectively so, but you must do things right in order to make it happen.
