I wanted to take a moment to tell everyone Merry Christmas and to express my gratitude for all the blessing I (and my family) have received this year. While, like many I have had some challenges during 2009 I can say in all honesty that I have far more to be grateful for than I deserve.

To my wife, my Sons, Mom & Dad, my wonderful sisters, my father-in-law, and brother/sister in law, you all mean more to me than I will ever be able to fully express. I Love You All & pray that God will bless you all beyond your wildest dreams in 2010 and beyond.

For all my friends, family, and site visitors I am grateful for each of you. More than any of you will ever know I am blessed to have you as a part of my life. Many times the smallest comment, word of encouragement or thanks means the world to me and reminds me why I do what I do.

For all of my new friends (family) that I have as a result of Zarvos Coaching, the Breaking Through Series and the incredible Vision in Action (VIA) leadership course, I am eternally grateful to each and everyone of you. Many of you have been a tremendous source of inspiration when I most needed that extra encouragement. I love you all and count myself blessed to have you as part of my life.

There are countless others in my life that I would like to take the time to thank, but that would require more space than I could possibly cover here in the space. I have no doubts that God has brought you all into my life and as such I am grateful for each and everyone of you. Merry Christmas to all and God Bless. I pray that 2010 will be a year of countless blessing of health, wealth and prosperity.

With Love and Respect,

Glenn

For years I knew that networking, more specifically business networking was a much better way to do business, but at best I was inconsistent in leveraging my network of contacts. Sure if you have been in business for any length of time you know that networking is all about leveraging your business and personal connections to bring you a regular supply of new business.

Do you really know and understand just how important word-of-mouth marketing can be for your business? Did you know that word-of-mouth marketing has been known to turn a business around from failure to success overnight?

Simple concept – right? Well like I started out saying: If you have been in business for any length of time you also know that networking to create referrals and ultimately more business is not so simple. Why? One of the most important aspects of the whole process, which is often overlooked, is that it involves relationship building.

The most commonly understood version of Word-of-Mouth marketing, Business Networking and generating Referrals is often associated with being a member of Referral Club, Word-of-Mouth marketing is actually much bigger than that.

And you will be happy to know that you don’t have to take my word for it. According to Wikipedia.org:

“Word-of-mouth marketing, which encompasses a variety of subcategories, including buzz, blog, viral, grassroots, cause influencers and social media marketing, as well as ambassador programs, work with consumer-generated media and more, can be highly valued by product marketers.

Because of the personal nature of the communications between individuals, it is believed that product information communicated in this way has an added layer of credibility. Research points to individuals being more inclined to believe WOMM than more formal forms of promotion methods; the receiver of word-of-mouth referrals tends to believe that the communicator is speaking honestly and is unlikely to have an ulterior motive.”

Wow! So, do I have your attention now?

This is no secret, we hear all the time that word-of-mouth marketing is the best marketing because it comes with credibility, creates customers that stick with you and costs you little to nothing. Any time I tell someone that they scratch their head and get that serious contemplative look and there is no mystery to what they are thinking: “How do I generate word-of-mouth buzz for my business?”

Word-of-mouth marketing can be generated, and very effectively so, but you must do things right in order to make it happen. What if you had a way that you could learn all of the best techniques, strategies and secrets of Word-of-Mouth marketing thereby enabling you to generate a higher quantity and quality of referrals?

Additionally, what if you were learning to leverage the internet, technology and social media to increase your business and the number of referrals that you could pass on to your referrals partners?

Enter The Prospection Network: http://bit.ly/8AQR47

So what is the Prospection Network? The Prospection Network was started by Steve Lawson as a way of making professionals more successful by economically providing the knowledge, tools, and connections to grow their business.

If you are an advisor, salesperson, or entrepreneur, then there is no mystery to the fact that you face a lot of challenges in growing a successful and profitable business. The Prospection Network addresses those challenges by providing solutions that:

*Generate a non-stop flow of prospects
* Improve the quality of prospects you meet
*Build your credibility
*Differentiate you from your competition
*Provide an Advisory Board that maximizes your success
*Keep you on track performing the tasks that make you most profitable

While I could write a small book about Steve’s success in helping small business owners grow their business I would simply recommend that you take some time to check out the Prospection Network website as everything you could want to know will be found there.

If you are an advisor, salesperson, entrepreneur, or small business owner of any kind I would highly recommend learning all that you can from Steve and the Prospection Network. Check it out: http://bit.ly/8AQR47

Unless you have been in a comma for the past few years or living under a rock somewhere it will come as no surprise to you that the use of social media has been adopted by a large number of MLM professionals. More to the point social media has been adopted by a large number of companies as an important part of their overall marketing program.

Before we delve into the impact social media is having on the MLM industry and business in general, let’s define the MLM industry to ensure that we are all on the same page.

According to Wikipedia:

“Multi-level marketing (MLM), (also called network marketing) is a term that describes a marketing structure used by some companies as part of their overall marketing strategy.

The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by compensating promoters of company products not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of other promoters they introduce to the company, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation.

The products and company are usually marketed directly to consumers and potential business partners by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing.”

If you will take note I have taken the liberty of putting in BOLD the most important part of the entire description of Multi-Level Marketing. If you are part of the Direct Selling industry, regardless of how you have classified your business (Network Marketing, Relationship Marketing, Direct Sales, MLM, etc) the one thing that remains constant is the your business is built based on relationships, referrals and word of mouth marketing.

This undeniable fact has been part of the MLM industry since its inception and is as true today has it was then.

As a quick recap of the history of the MLM industry, there have been numerous innovations that have provided new tools, methods and strategies for the building of one’s MLM business. Originally, most people were contacted in person, via the phone or invited to an opportunity presentation to hear a big name speaker tell them about how great life could be.

Then over the years and as the result of advances in technology (Cassette tapes, VCR’s, Faxes, CD’s, DVD’s, the Internet, Webinars, Cell phones, Texting, Podcasts, etc, etc) MLM professionals started leveraging technology to increase communications, ease the enrollment process, reduce travel, and most importantly expand their marketing reach.

All of these advancements have provided some type of boost to business in general and the MLM industry is no exception. As we have discussed the advent of Social media is no different. While there are numerous people that are just in the beginning stages of adopting social media as a strategy for the marketing of their business, there are many who have perfected the use of these new tools/strategies.

For many the thought of building a business without the use of many of the social media tools would be like going back to the stone ages. Some of the top social media tools in use by MLM business builders are:

*Blogs
*Facebook
*LinkedIn
*YouTube
*Social bookmarking sites
*Forums

For many of you there will be no surprise that Twitter is listed as the favorite among the largest percentage of users.

Now back to our original question: Is Social Media Changing the MLM Industry?

NO!

Social media is no more changing the MLM industry than any of the other advances in technology that have arrived on the scene during the history of MLM. Social media is yet another tool that can be added to your tool box as a method of building your business – Nothing more, nothing less.

I will not deny the fact that social media holds a wealth of potential when it comes to exposure for your business, putting you in a position to establish contacts that you never would have in the past and most importantly offers a wealth of possibilities when it comes to staying in touch with your organization. However, the fact remains that we are in a relationship industry that requires you to build relationships, establish trust, provide training for your new recruits, complete your follow-ups, etc, etc. In short all of the things that were required in the past are still required today.

There are WAY too many people that are being told or think for some reason that social media will allow them to start a business, flip a switch and somehow they will magically have a business that is generating the lifestyle for them that they have always dreamed of.

The good news is that is NOT true. What do I mean good news?

That is the good news because if that were not true everyone would be starting a business, earning a six figure annual income next month and the industry would not survive. In short if it were easy everyone would be doing and your pay would be drastically reduced. I don’t know about you, but I am happy about the fact that there is still some work required.

Does social media offer some huge advantages over what was available to the MLM industry just a few short years ago?

YES!

However, with that said keep in mind that you still have to learn what you are doing, understand your opportunity and most importantly you must still be able to create trust with the people you are connecting with. Things are easier today than they were even ten years ago, but success is still reserved for those who are willing to be persistent.

To Your Success!

Take this example for instance:

If you have any amount of time invested in the MLM industry I can imagine that at some point you have thought about the fact that someone was or was not having success and wondered WHY. Trust me; there is really no mystery behind anyone’s success in the MLM industry or their lack of success. With a few questions and matter of a relatively short amount of time all of the clues can be uncovered.

Take this example for instance: A young adult in their early twenties with no background in the MLM industry becomes a distributor with a company that his or her friend has recommended. While there can be any number of reasons why they decided to become a distributor at that moment, you can bet for sure that one of the top reasons were that they wanted to make more money than they were currently earning.

While that statement does not generate any shock value for anyone reading it makes you wonder if that is the driving force behind 90% of the people coming into the MLM industry what made that desire so powerful for this individual.

What you don’t know is that this particular individual has gone from no experience and making $0 in the MLM industry to making in excess of $10,000 in less than one year and growing.

Next we have this example: We have an old pro in the MLM industry that has made multiple six figures for years in the MLM industry. They have all the experience one could ever want or need to have in the MLM industry. They understand the lifestyle that is available to them. They know how to recruit, promote and are very polished when it comes to presenting the opportunity.

They have the fortunate benefit of being introduce to the “Next Best Thing” (NBT) by a close colleague that knows of their past success and by default is sure that they will be a sure fire explosive building with this new business. Fast forward 12 months down the road and they have experiences some good growth, but nothing like was originally anticipated. Furthermore they and their sponsor are becoming a bit disillusioned with their NBT due to the lack of success.

Lastly, you may also know of MLM powerhouses that have conquered the MLM world time and time again, but now they are broke and trying to figure out what to do.

While I could tell you very detailed stories about each of these examples above and many more I am certain many of you are nodding in agreement that you know of similar stories.

Again, I will stress that there are no great mysteries and no GREAT secrets that will be revealed that no one has uncovered. The simple answer is that each one of the individuals above is right where they chose to be at this point in time in their profession. Yes, you just read that correctly, but I will say it again. Each of the above individuals is right where they chose to be at this point in time in their profession.

Many of you are probably thinking to yourself; how can this be?

Many more probably think that I have lost my mind about now. While I simply don’t have the room here to completely cover all of the information to support the above statement let’s move forward with the understanding that the above statement is valid. And, yes there are mountains of data to support this conclusion.

First and foremost each of these individuals made a decision either consciously or by default that they wanted to be right where they are in their profession. All too often many people make these decisions by default by simply not making a conscious decision to accomplish something different than what they have.

Let me ask you this simple question: What have you decided to accomplish in your MLM business?

Now please take a moment to give that question serious consideration before moving on. I’ll wait….promise.

Now that you have given that question some serious consideration let me ask one additional question.

Do your actions support the decision to actually achieve your accomplishments?

This is actually a very easy process. Because there are some very natural laws that will govern what you have today, what you will have tomorrow and what you will have next year. If you have REALLY made a decision to achieve a specific goal, you are fully committed to the achievement of that goal your actions will be in perfect alignment with what is required to realize that goal.

If at any point in the process these three things are not supporting each other to their fullest extent regardless of what else is going on in your life then it is time to examine what you really want.

Very simply stated, you must have these three things perfectly aligned:

1) You must have a vision for where you are going.

2) You must be fully committed to the attainment of that vision.

3) Your actions must support the attainment of that goal.

For example:

If I have decided that I have a vision for playing Pro football, I am 100% committed to the attainment of that vision and my activities for the attainment of that vision consist of sitting on the coach watching football games on TV, chances are very slim that I will ever realize the attainment of my vision.

Simply put my actions are not aligned with my vision and what is truly required to realize the success that I am fully capable of achieving.

In the MLM industry we have countless people that have started an MLM business and now they are watching all of the successful business builders while all along wondering what the secret is to their success.

First and foremost it is GREAT to be back at my computer in attempt to get caught up. For any of you who are kind enough to frequent the pages of my blog here you may have thought I dropped off the face of the earth. While that is not the case, I can say that I have been on the journey of a life time.

There are many ways of asking the same and/or related questions, but they all boil down to creating a vision for not only your MLM business, but your life as well. For many you have been asked any number of the following:

*What is your WHY?

*What are your GOALS?

*What are your Objectives?

While the list could go on I think you get the idea. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the fact that depending on the context in which the above questions are asked the meaning could very well change. However, when asked in the context of where you see your life or business in the future you are in essence talking about your vision.

As often as I talk about this with members of my organization, people that I network with, etc, etc, imagine my surprise to discover that my vision was about as clouded as it could get. Then came the next shock; I was only partially committed to my vision and where I expected to be in life and business at this point in time. Ouch!!

Where and why did I come to this revelation?

Along with my travels I was able to spend some time with Jim and Nora Zarvos of Zarvos Coaching & Consulting participating in their “Breaking Through Part I” experiential personal development training. Here I am going through life experiencing a significant amount of success, progressing towards my goals and for the most part oblivious to my ignorance.

While I would love to talk more about the course all I can tell you is that mere words will not begin to explain what is possible through the participation in Breaking Through Part I. As I have explained to a number of close friends, I could talk all day long about the coaching experience, but you truly have no context for understanding the full impact of what is available to you.

As presented on the Zarvos Coaching & Consulting website: In Breaking Through, Part I, by clarifying what does matter and what will matter, participants challenge their fixed and obsolete assumptions, and reveal blind spots. Then using the principles and practices presented in the seminar, a new map for success is constructed. As a result, you will begin to open up new horizons for living and relating, and gain a foundation for fulfillment, freedom, accomplishment, and joy.

For more information I would highly recommend that you checkout their website at:
Zarvos Coaching & Consulting Website

For years I have heard and professed that if you don’t like what you have, you need to change what you are doing. Another way you may have heard this presented is: If you keep doing what you are doing; you’re going to keep getting what you’ve got.

While I am not going to pretend to speak for anyone else I stand guilty of pretending that this did not apply to me and more importantly that I was not participating in this limiting behavior. Again, OUCH!!!

As a leader in my organization my limiting beliefs, limiting behaviors and being content with being partially committed to my vision, and the vision of those in my organization, the team as a whole has suffered. I have for years considered myself to be someone who looked out for those that I recruited and mentored, only to discover that those beliefs were only partially true.

Do you have a Vision?

More importantly; do you have a vision supported by your 100% commitment?

Do you have an organization that has not fulfilled its potential?

Are you less than 100% satisfied with where you are in life and your MLM business?

What would you be willing to do in order to experience life more fully?

If any of the above applies to you something that I can tell you with absolute confidence is that unless you are willing to change you will not move beyond where you are today. Worse yet, you are holding back all of those that you lead, mentor and profess to care about.

By getting outside of your comfort zone, improving yourself and becoming 100% committed to your vision you will naturally raise the level of success of those around you. As the level of success of those around you increases they have a profound and lasting impact on the lives of those lives they touch. This ripple effect will create the momentum that your business is lacking today.

If any of this applies to you and you would like to start fully experiencing the success that is possible in your life and MLM business, please feel free to contact me. I can with all the confidence in the world tell you that I now know where I am going. More importantly I know where I will be 6 months, 12 months, 2 years from now and beyond. Can you say with 100% confidence you know where you will be?

To Your Success!

Because affiliate marketing is one of the most effective and quickest ways of earning money online many people assume that affiliate marketing is going to earn them huge sums of money overnight. While it is a fact that affiliate marketing is very profitable, those that have put in the time, energy and worked through the challenges to success actually reap the rewards.

With affiliate marketing programs being so easy to join, implement and paying commissions on a regular basis, more and more people are jumping on board. However, keep in mind that like all businesses, there are pitfalls that can quickly destroy your chances of making a living through online marketing.

There are a few simple facts that you must keep in mind:

First and foremost Affiliate Marketing has to do with promotion, and promotion via the Internet is largely a function of driving traffic to your site. And as you may have guessed by now one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site is a direct result of making the search engines your friend. While there is not nearly enough space here to go into the many layers of search engine optimization every online marketer should have a basic understanding of SEO or be able to outsource that task to a credible vendor.

The second fact is that many people start off wrong by simply picking the wrong affiliate program before they have even started. As you can imagine most people want to start earning money as fast as possible and as such they run out and think that they must partner with the most popular product they find. As I tell people with Network Marketing: Find something that you are passionate about!

If you are promoting a business opportunity or a product online that you are passionate about and have a genuine interest in, there is a much higher probability that you will be able to sell others on the idea. Choose a product or opportunity that you have little to no real interest in and chances are you have failed before you even get started.

Another common mistake made by marketing affiliates is filling their website with so many advertisements that people are overwhelmed by all the ads, don’t have enough information to make an informed decision on any of the products and end up leaving their site not having purchased anything.

If you are going to have ads on your site regarding an affiliate product be sure to provide decent written content along with those advertisements. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of a product, and good content will be able to help them understand that objective. And just in case you were wondering that it is no mistake that the search engines like content. Hint. Hint.

Closely related to the above issue is that many new affiliates join every affiliate program that they come across. Since affiliate programs are so easy to join, you might be tempted to join every affiliate program that you come across. However, while it is good to be promoting a multiple products in order to build multiple streams of income be sure to make wise choices regarding which programs you join. It is far better to focus on a select few products and put all of your efforts into them.

Now once you have established a good baseline with the products that you are currently marketing, have a nice stream of income showing up regularly you may want to begin the process of searching for the next affiliate program that you may want to add to your growing business.

At the opposite end of the spectrum from time to time I will see affiliates that simply offer a single product. While this is not typically the case, if this describes you, don’t do it. While your customers don’t want to be overwhelmed with products they do want to have choices. By offering a single product your website visitor will feel that they have no choices, nothing to compare against and in many cases will move on to your competitors site where they will have choices.

As an affiliate, your primary focus is to convincingly promote a product or service to your customers. Not having actually used the product or service yourself will make it a bit of a challenge to effectively market a given product or service. I would HIGHLY recommend that you try the product or service personally first before you sign up as an affiliate to see if the product really delivers what is promised. This will give you much more credibility with your customers if you can honestly describe your experiences with a particular product or service.

There are many misconceptions concerning affiliate marketing but with a little homework, some time, energy and the effort required to build a successful business affiliate marketing offers many rewards that could never be achieved through a typical 9 to 5 job.

Overall, affiliates which are doomed to fall in this online business are those that don’t exert enough effort to learn what is involved in achieving true success in the online marketing industry. Having a complete understanding of what it takes to succeed, taking the time to effectively search out the affiliate programs that are a great fit for you and today’s market will pay huge commissions and be sure that you don’t expect success overnight.

To Your Success!

A constant source of new leads and prospects are the life blood of any business. If you are a relatively new business owner, hopefully your sponsor has helped you put a plan in place that will fill this need. For those of you that are hearing this for the first time please pay close attention as your chances of success are directly tied to you understanding this concept.

There are a number of decisions that you will need to make as it pertains to the generation of new leads and just as important the process by which you will manage those newly acquired leads. Below are just a few of the questions that you need to be addressing:

*Where are these new leads going to come from?

*How will I rise above the crowd in order to standout as someone that will attract new leads?

*Once I have acquired these new leads, what is the process I will use to convert them to qualified prospects?

*When does it make sense to pick up the phone to call prospects?

*Now that I have qualified prospects how do I move them through the sales cycle?

*How will I know when it is time to try closing a prospect that has been through the sales cycle?

While the above questions will be treated differently for various marketing methods I am going to focus purely on attracting new leads via the internet.

Time and time again it has been proven that one of the most effective methods for obtaining new leads is by simply offering something of value to people that will provide you with their contact information. Start by offering something of value (free workshop, training, tools, tips, hints, a process) that will be of interest to your target market.

Once you have their attention and they are at least considering providing you with their contact information, make sure that you are only requesting necessary information. If you make the process a long process whereby they have to complete a long survey or too many details you are likely to reduce the number of new leads and/or collect lots of bogus information.

Make sure that you let them know upfront that you are Guaranteeing their privacy as many people are very leery of giving out personal information to people they don’t know.

Always provide a call to action to get people to act right now. If you have information that is time sensitive or offers of great value that expire after a given time, you are much more likely to get people to act on impulse.

Make sure to setup various marketing channels/strategies that will provide you leads from a variety of sources. This process will give you the ability to measure the quality of leads/prospects that you are collecting from the various sources and improve on strategies that don’t seem to work as well.

Now that you are collecting all the leads that you need you should have a process whereby you will begin to qualify these new leads as true prospects.

Be sure to always provide the value offered in a very timely manner. If you promised an ebook your newly acquired lead is going to be expecting an email with a link to download their requested ebook in a very short amount of time. Remember, like it or not we live in an age of instant gratification. Drop the ball here and you will have a very hard time converting any leads to qualified prospects.

Make sure you have a process in place to be able to know details about your newly acquired lead:

*Where did they come from?

*What did they click on to ultimately provide you with their contact information?

*Any additional information they may have provided you in the process?

*Do you have an indication of their immediate needs? What’s the pain they are dealing with?

Each time you communicate with your new lead make sure to ensure that you are communicating your value proposition. By all means if they were willing to provide you with a phone number it is highly probably that a phone call is in order.

This is where most processes or business owners begin to break down. Remember you have a new lead/prospect: Follow-up, Follow-up, Follow-up until such time that you convert them to a sale or get a definitive NO. If you get a no that simply means that the time is not right, but they may be ready to take action down the road.

Once you have these prospects in your database continue to build and develop that relationship. Through a process of value based email information you can build on that relationship and eventually convert that lead into a sale. Create email stages that filter your contacts based on their interaction with the emails so you can cater specifically to them and follow-up knowledgeably. Again learn what your prospects need and supply a solution to that need.

Once your process has moved your leads to qualified prospects whereby you have a better understanding of their needs provide them with a call to action to get them to purchase additional products/services that you may have to offer. If you are promoting your business opportunity, spell out the main benefits for them acting now. If there is a special promotion that you can offer, or bonus programs available to help them get a quick start, be sure they understand what is available to them if they act NOW.

Stay personal. When offering them your promotion, relate to their preferences you’ve noticed. Mention things you’ve discussed or discovered from their interactions with your email.

Help them remember you by referring back to your last contact. This also shows them that you value this relationship by keeping track of them.

Give your prospects advanced notice of promotions in case they need time to plan, budget, etc. Then be sure to build some anticipation leading up to the first official day of the promotion.

Now, just because you’ve closed the sale and your efforts have produced a new customer or business associate don’t disregard this relationship. Current customers can become loyal customers and your biggest supporters. New business associates are going to need guidance and mentoring if they are experience the success that you have achieved. So continue to build these relationships and watch your business grow to levels you never dreamed possible.

To Your Success!

Coming from a background of both the corporate world and later moving into small business, one of the common discussions that I have participated in centered around defining the target market for a business owner. However, I find it strange that when asking the owner of a home based business to define their target market, I often find that the response is “anybody”.

The problem with that answer is that not just anybody will be interested in building a home based business. The quality of your prospects is one of the most important aspects of generating business for your network marketing business. The prospects you are dealing with should be targeted, so you are attracting the right people to your organization.

Most network marketers or home based business owners are in essence trying to sell steak to vegetarians. With the best business opportunity in the world to include a compensation plan that is out of this world, there are going to be a limited number of people that will have an interest in what you have to offer.

Ever wonder why so many of the people that you have sponsored drop out after such a short amount of time?

Most network marketers work at attracting everybody as a potential new prospect. Here is the problem, since their marketing efforts are not really focused on anybody in particular no one in pays any attention to their efforts. Believe me I used to do the same thing and the results of my efforts generated very few good prospects. The few did I attract where basically by accident.

At one point in time I even got creative and started using marketing materials that were misleading when you really boiled it down. While I did not want to go so far as telling outright lies it was easy enough to bend the truth enough to make for a much broader appeal. While that effort generated a ton of leads it ended up costing me way more in time and effort than it was ever worth.

All of my marketing efforts at this time all centered around messages like “make money fast,” “it’s easy,” “anyone can do it,” “earn a six figure income in months”, etc. While reading through those statements think about the type of people that those ads will attract.

I can promise you that they are the type of people that believe in get rich quick schemes, expect lots of money for little to no effort and in short expect to amass wealth without having to work for it. While a topic for a totally new discussion, there are natural laws of the universe in place to keep that from happening.

In my years of experience these people have always quit my organization because they simply did not have the right mindset to become successful entrepreneurs. Long story short, I wasted a lot of my time, money and effort on these people by trying to train, motivate and get them to do anything, when in the end they eventually quit.

That was the starting point for the discovery that I was attracting and working with the wrong people, when what I needed to be doing was attracting people like me that had the right mindset from the start.

So how do you find the right prospects?

In order to generate good qualified prospects you must be using targeted marketing material and strategies that will attract the right people to your network marketing business. To accomplish this you must ask yourself the right questions:

* What do they like?

* What motivates these people?

* How will they benefit from what your products, services or business opportunity?

* Where can you find these people? Where do they hang out?

If possible, also take time to look at your most successful business builders. Then focus your marketing efforts and materials on attracting those people to your business. With refocused attention in these areas you will begin to generate good solid prospects and more importantly your business will begin to grow.

The quality of the prospects that you are spending your time with will predict your future success, so if you have a network marketing business try networking with and when applicable marketing to other network marketers. You want to work with prospects who already believe in the business model, are looking for multiple streams of income and have the attitude that they are destined for success.

The only prospects that you want to spend time with are people who have been in network marketing, who are in network marketing today, or those who are actively searching out information to learn and improve their performance in the business.

For those of you that are truly ready to take your business to a level that you may have never thought possible you need to align yourself with people that can consistently provide you with qualified referrals. Imagine talking with prospects that already know about you, your products, your business and is interested in joining you before you have ever meet for the first time. Now, with that concept in mind, think about the impact that process would have on your business.

If you are the type of network marketer that could benefit from the concepts above please feel free to contact me at any time. While, these concepts are not right for everyone, I can assure you that those that find these ideas a good fit will reap rewards and benefits far beyond anything that may have dreamed.

To Your Success!

In order to get a true understanding of what Attraction Marketing is let's start with some common ground that most anyone reading this article will be able to understand. Why do I think that everyone will be able to understand? Simple we have all been here at one time or another.

In order to get a true understanding of what Attraction Marketing is let’s start with some common ground that most anyone reading this article will be able to understand. Why do I think that everyone will be able to understand? Simple we have all been here at one time or another. Regardless of whether you were on the receiving end or the one doing the selling you have been here at one time or another.

The typical sales process starts something like one of these below.

- Make a list of all the people that you know and then we will go through that list to qualify those persons to find out who your best prospects may be.

- Purchase a list of qualified leads/prospects (like that really happens) and then we begin calling them to sell them on our great business opportunity

- Attend a local networking event in your area, find some poor unsuspecting prospect, corner them and don’t let them leave until the join your mlm business or cry. Yes, crying means you need to let them go even if they have not joined your business.

At this point you get the idea, but the list could go on. There are a couple of problems with this process from the start and they are probably responsible for 90% of why people fail when they first start in the Network Marketing or Direct Sales profession. First and foremost people do NOT like to be sold to. And a very close second is that most people do NOT like to sell. With this in mind you have to see the irony in this whole process. On both sides of the table we have a very high probability that we have people in a situation that they do not like to find themselves.

Because your prospects do not like and will resist being sold to and the Network Marketer (sales person) is going to starve if they don’t recruit enough new business associates, sell enough products or whatever then need to make an income you have two people that are at odds with each other before the presentation even starts. To make things worse if you have a new very over zealous Network Marketer they are excited about their new business, think it is the best thing since the dawn of time and are craving success, they tend to push and push and push, until we are back to the crying.

Now, think like a Leader and not a salesperson.

While this is something that I must say on some level I knew and realized I had not really grasped the full potential. Attraction Marketing is a much more natural method, much more productive, less stressful and will lead to you being much more SUCCESSFUL.

After reading Mike Dillard’s information on Magnetic Sponsoring it hit me like a ton of bricks. The funny part about that whole experience was that I had actually had conversations with other Network Marketers about why some were experiencing success while others seem to struggle. While I have been blessed to have had more success than probably 90% of the people that ever start in the MLM Industry I wanted to talk to those closest to me that I consider to have experienced the success reserved for that top 3% in the MLM industry.

What I was not surprised to find out is that they were all able to confirm my suspicions and just as importantly what Mike Dillard had so eloquently explain in his material. People are looking for a LEADER. Yes, that is the real answer, the secret, the Holy Grail or whatever you may want to call it. People are not looking join the next best network marketing opportunity to come along, they are looking for a leader that can offer value and help them succeed.

Leaders are every where and more than likely you have been in a room when a leader walked in only to see people naturally gravitate towards that individual. If you will watch closely there will be people in the room watching and waiting for the opportunity to simply walk shake their hand, say hello and make their presence known.

One of the places that I see this most often and actually observed this morning is at a local event called Rainmakers. For any of you that don’t know if you are anywhere near Indiana, Rainmakers Marketing Group is the fastest growing networking group in the state and probably the country. With 35 or so events around Indiana to attend each month to network with other successful business owners, you can imagine that at any given event there are some natural leaders that are in attendance. When they come into the room there will be people that will go out of their way to ensure that they have an opportunity to speak with that person. Further more there will be different levels of leadership in attendance at these events and each in their own right will draw a certain amount of attention.

How does this apply to Network Marketing and the MLM profession? The top earners in the MLM profession provide Leadership, Value, Mentoring, and a Posture that allows them to naturally attract people to their business. Many of these individuals have established massive contact databases, have the visibility and reputation that would allow them to start with practically any new business opportunity and within a short amount of time they would be successful. It has nothing to do with the business opportunity that they are promoting and everything to do with the fact that they are seen as leaders.

Do you want to be selling to people or do you want people that are coming to you wanting to buy whatever it is that you are offering?

Chances are that you will join the 95% of Network Marketers that spend more than they make if you are primarily promoting your business opportunity in person or through a replicated business opportunity website trying to convince people to join your business.

Promote yourself as a leader, add value to people, offer them solutions to their pains and challenges, regardless of their current business, and you will see your business explode. There is much more to this, but if this is new to you I would HIGHLY recommend getting Mike Dillard’s FREE 7-Part Video Training Series at: Attraction Marketing/Magnetic Sponoring
